Nick Garbutt

Starting as a Clinical Trials Assistant at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre’s Research & Innovation department, he developed expertise in clinical trial data management, trial set-up and research governance. Progressing to a senior role, Nick coordinated the Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre (ECMC) portfolio, supporting pioneering cancer research. In 2020, he joined the Specialist Immunotherapy Toxicity Service at Clatterbridge as Project Support Manager, contributing to the development of services focused on managing immune-related adverse events.

Alongside this role, Nick joined as Operations Manager for the Immuno-Oncology Clinical Network (IOCN). Nick helps to develop and grow the network from an operational perspective, volunteering his own time to support healthcare professionals through education, training, and service development in this growing field. Passionate about improving healthcare delivery, he is committed to supporting multidisciplinary teams and enhancing outcomes for patients receiving innovative cancer treatments.
